I know that everyone reading this LOVES Josiah.  For me a big part of that love comes from the way he expresses a thought in his lyrics.  Those words that just stick in your head or make you grin or even tear up.  Here’s one of my favorites.

“I’m nothing more than an armless mime…useless and stuck in a world that only talks and fights.”

I call the song Think Twice, but I’m not sure if that’s what he named it.
Come on guys.  Give me your favorite line!

“You and I should get away.  Escape before the sun can break another day.  Before a conscious thought can change our minds.  And say one day that we were young and we were endlessly alive.”

That whole song is pure poetry, but I’m not crazy enough to include it all!  “Tomorrow is Today” is what I call the song.  Josiah had some weird names on his compilation “All Josiah Has” so I just re-named them (sorry J)...but I don’t think that would really bother you.

The song is Four Corners. That particular line is actually one of Josiah’s favorites. At least it was as of last year. He’s written so much more since then he probably has a new favorite or 2. My favorite song of his, hands down, is “Another Life”. All of the lyrics in that song tell such a profound story. I have sooo many favorites that I wouldn’t know where to start. He just bowls me over with all of them….well except one, but I’ll keep that to myself.

The first step is the hardest jlmiam…I want a line or two.

From the song “Slow Down”?  I’m pretty sure it’s another I renamed.

That song was performed perfectly last night.  Josiah had another great live broadcast that was jam packed with great songs and lots of them.  Not too much chit chat and I really enjoyed him telling the stories of how the songs came to be.  The cow shirt was adorable and Josiah even called it his “friend”. 

I’m glad to hear the studio is more impressed with Maybe than they were before.  That’s actually the song I can’t get out of my head anymore.  I sing it all day long!!  Hopefully it will be released as a single too.

“She’s burning like the sun.  You’re taking way too long…Come on kid, come on kid.  What are you waiting for?”!!!

Great lines.  Can’t deny that.  Give us some more fans!!  I know you’re out there just lurking.  Say hi and join the talk.  I’m lonely tonight and not tired.  LOL

Here are what were one of Sharon Leming’s favorite lyrics from Apalacia…

When I hung out with her in LA she would sing that lyric over and over. There were a few more from other pieces that she’d quote but it was this one that she’d say….“you know he’s a genius” at the end. I would tear up and nod in agreement

Happy Mother’s day angel Sharon.   You will alway’s be right here with Josiah and all the children.  We never truly leave as long as we were loved.
