Jerry Hannan Kickstarter - ONE WEEK LEFT!
February 04, 2012

…AND WE’RE 75% THERE!

February already? I hope your 2012 is off to a great start!

Mine sure is. In the first few days of year, I started recording my new album, “Whistle and Hum” And this is why I’m writing today, to ask if you would like to order a copy in advance, or make other contributions to my fundraising project on Kickstarter.

In case you didn’t know, Kickstarter is a new internet platform to raise money for creative projects. The way it works is:
- I set a target amount (which, in addition to my own money, is enough to complete the project)
- and a deadline (mine is Feb 11)
- then, people (like you) can easily pledge to contribute whatever you want and help make the project a reality
- but it’s all or nothing, contributions are only actually charged when & if the project goals are reached

As of today the project is 75% funded by 63 individual backers. So now, I have 1 week to raise $4950 or more, otherwise I don’t get a dime. I’m betting on the generosity and support of folks like you, and we’re in the final stretch!

My previous albums were less expensive. This time I’m paying for professional studio time & engineers on grander scale to make a grander production, which includes musicians:
Michael Urbano – Drums – (Smashmouth, Sheryl Crow, John Hiatt)
Davey Farragher – Bass – (Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy)
Roger Manning – Hammond B3 – (Beck).
…and some great local players like Danny Uz, Jon Korty, Chris Haugen and Erik Schramm
11 Original Songs and it’s gonna be good!

There are some cool gifts to choose from at different pledge levels, from a sticker, to a t-shirt, to being a credited associate producer on the record! I really appreciate any contribution, and know you’ll be thrilled when we deliver the goods!

Please take a minute to watch the VIDEO and check out the project here:

Also, I’ll be at Rancho Nicasio March 17, Saint Patrick’s Day. Hope to see you.

Thanks guys!
